Asus Pegasus 2 Plus Review

The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus was announced in the month of July in 2015. It is supposed to be the successor of the Asus Pegasus 2, which was released in the month of December last year. The Asus Pegasus consists of some improvements over its predecessors. The phone is available in two colors, which are White color, and Rose gold color. The phone features dual-SIM support, and will be able to support 4G LTE at most.

Display

Like all the HD quality display of Asus’s phones, the phone also features a 5.5 Inch Full HD IPS capacitive display, with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, having a pixel per inch density 441. The screen’s resolution is high enough to show every single detail of the display. The images look sharp enough, and the colors look vibrant. The reflective angles are also good.

Processor

The chipset used in the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, with Quad-core Cortex-A53 and Quad-core Cortex-A53, while the graphics are powered by an Adreno 405 chipset. Moreover, the architecture used is 64-bit, which   further increases the response and processing speed. As Lollipop is compatible with the 64-bit chipset, the chipset ensures good performance on the mobile phone, and the phone does not lag while performing any tasks. However, a minor shutter or lag may be experienced while playing graphic extensive games, but that is all.

Storage

The phone features 32 GB of internal memory, which can be used to store apps. The phone also supports a MicroSD card, which means the memory can be expanded. The phone has 3 GB of RAM in order to run apps, and for multi-tasking. The storage capacity, and RAM ensures that you get a premium experience, and an install various different apps, without experiencing any delays while switching between them.

User Interface

The phone runs on the Android Lollipop v.5.1.1 Operating System, while the Zen UI skin works on top of it. Unlike most of the companies user interface, which adds a heavy load on the OS, the Zen UI Skin is a light and comfortable skin. It adds several useful options, and a person can use widgets in order to receive notifications. The UI is well optimized to perform good, and adopts various useful features.

Battery

The phone consists of Li-ion 3030 mAh battery to make the phone last longer. The battery is supposed to be good, and last the phone a good amount of time.

Camera

The phone boasts of a 13 Megapixel camera, which can take high equality photos of 4128 x 3096 pixels. The phone is able to take high-level photographs, which shows decent amount of detail in them. The rear-facing camera also consists of Dual LED flash. The colors appear fine, and the overall camera interface is the same as what the Zen UI offers. The phone is able to capture 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera has received n update, and is now 8 Megapixel. The phone will be able to take good photos/selfies, and can be used for video chatting.
