The Google Pixel C was released in 2015 in the month of December. The tablet will be a new introduction to the market, and will feature powerful and high-end specifications. The tablet is solidly built, with various features and the latest Android software. The tablet will be featuring the new USB Type-C connectors in an attempt to unify and standardize charging and IO. It will come with Wireless charging support, which will provide additional flexibility to the users.
The device is available in only one color variant, which is Silver aluminium. The device does not have a SIM card slot, and does not offer GSM connectivity. Moreover, in order to get the keyboard with the device, you will have to pay additional money.
Design & Display
The Google Pixel C comes paired with a keyboard, combined with a stand. It is able to attach to the tablet easily, and can wirelessly charge the tablet when folded over it. The device’s measurements are 242 x 179 x 7 mm, with a weight of 517g.
The screen size of the device will be 10.2 Inches, and will have a resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels, making, with a pixel per inch density of 308. An LTPS IPS LCD type of display is used in the tablet’s screen. The viewing angles of the tablet are decent.
Software and Hardware
The Google Pixel C will run on the latest Android operating system. The device’s premium hardware paired up along with the latest Android OS will be able to deliver a lag-free experience. The device is also expected to get the latest Android updates as soon as they are made public. The device uses a powerful chipset to power itself, which guarantees a smooth working experience.
The tablet runs on the Android Marshmallow v6.0 operating system, and will be powered with a Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset, with the processor being Quad-core 1.9 GHz. The graphical processing unit will either be powered by an Nvidia Maxwell chipset.
The device will be available only in two storage variants. The Google Pixel C will not have a MicroSD slot for expanding the storage of the device for installing media such as audio or video. The unlocked tablet will come packed with a high size of RAM, which can help people multi-task without experiencing any shutters or lag.
The unlocked tablet will be having available in 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage for installing applications. 3 GB of RAM will be provided for running applications and multi-tasking between them.
The Google Pixel C will come with a 8 Megapixel rear-facing camera, with a f/2.4 aperture. The camera is equipped with a LED flash. It will be able record videos of HD videos. A 2 MP front-facing camera will also be available in the device capable of recording video.
The unlocked tablet will be supporting a non-removable battery, which will be able to last the device a full day with moderate usage.
