The HTC One X9 will become available shortly in January 2016. It will serve as a high segment device, with premium software and hardware. The device will be able available in both black and white color variants. The device is equipped with HTC’s BoomSound speakers on both sides. The camera also features optical image stabilization and 4k video support.
Design & Display
The HTC One X9 is like an upgraded version of A9, and comes with similar curved edges, with few tweaks in the design aspects. However, the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner compared to the A9. The device’s measurements are 153.9 x 75.9 x 8 mm, with a weight of 170g.
The screen size of the device is 5.5 Inches, and has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, making it a Full HD screen, with a pixel per inch density of 401. A capacitive display panel is used in the phone’s screen, and will more likely come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The screen will be sharp thanks to the 401 ppi. The viewing angles are also expected to be decent from all angles.
Software and Hardware
The HTC One X9 runs on the Android operating system, along with its own UI skinned on top of it. The device’s premium hardware paired up along with the latest Android OS is able to deliver a lag-free experience. The device is also expected to get the latest Android updates as soon as they are made public.
The phone will be running on the Android Lollipop v6.0 Operating system. The device will come powered with a Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset, with the processor being Octa-core Cortex-A53. The graphical processing unit will be powered by a PowerVR G6200 chipset.
The device becomes available only in one storage variant. The HTC One X9 will have a MicroSD slot for expanding the storage up to 200 GB for storing media such as audio and video. The unlocked cellphone will come packed with High amount of RAM, which can help people multi-task without experiencing any shutters or lag.
The unlocked cellphone will be having 32 GB of internal storage for installing applications, and storing any additional data, such as media files or documents. 3 GB of RAM is available in the device for running applications, and multi-task between them.
The HTC One X9 will come with a 13 Megapixel rear-facing camera, with f/2.0m aperture and length of 27mm. The camera is equipped with a dual LED flash, and autofocus capabilities. It will also be able record HD videos of 2160p at 30 fps. A 5 MP front-facing camera will also be available, with an aperture of f/2.8 and length of 34mm in the device capable of recording videos of 1080p at 30 fps.
The unlocked cellphone will be supporting a Li-ion 3000 mAh battery, which will most likely be able to offer a battery backup of one day with moderate usage. The phone will be able to give out a talk time of up to 15 hours (on 3G).
