The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 was released in the month of October in 2015. It will serve as the successor to the much popular Motorola Droid Turbo, originally released in 2014 and offered premium experience and specifications to the people. The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 follows the same design as the recent Motorola devices. The screen size of the device is 5.4 Inches, and has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, making it a quad-HD screen, with a pixel per inch density of 540. A P-OLED type of display is used in the phone’s screen. Shattershield screen of the device is one of the solid points. The screen of the device is bright, and solid enough to survive those unconditional falls. The viewing angles are also decent.
Software and Hardware
The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will run the Android operating system, along with its own UI skinned on top of it, however, as Motorola is known to provide a near-stock experience, most of the OS functions will remain unchanged with only slight additions from the company. The device’s hardware paired up along with the latest Android OS will be able to deliver a lag-free experience.
The phone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 Operating system, with a planned upgrade to Android Marshmallow v6.0 and is powered with a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810, with the processor being Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57. The graphical processing unit is being powered by an Adreno 430 chipset.
The device comes with sufficient amount of storage for installing applications.
